A Pobra has its own seafood market where the seafood that men and women take from the sandy beaches is auctioned directly. In addition, Pobra has a large number of mussel platforms or mussel rafts and a large part of these bivalves are unloaded at its ports.

The location of Pobra and its sandy beaches allows the emergence of seafood of extraordinary quality due to the purity and rich plankton of the waters, authentic culinary pearls of the Ría de Arousa: razor clams, clams and cockles are cultivated in its sandy beaches and are sold at the seafood market and bought at the fish and seafood market. In summer and winter, it is common to see shellfish gatherers hard at work on the inside of these beaches.
